TIME – The Debut Album of Weird Wired

Therry:

What is the most remarkable thing about TIME?

Andy:

That we finally come to an end and all of us agreed that the album is finished!

Adam:

Yeah! But time has a beginning but no end - just like real time. Two of us said "it's finished" one said "I won't do any more on it" - if my memory serves me correctly - as it usually does.

Therry:

I think it sounds weird right!?

Andy:

You're right! That's our sound - I always say "Some songs weird, some songs wired, all songs right". Just try to repeat this sentence ten times...

Adam:

Yeah - it sounds weird and right and a little bit wired! That's exactly what we wanted to do. I think the wiredness comes from this fantastic finalizer manufactured of dozens of used vintage radios. These radios played great music in their time - now we use them to make great music for our time.

Therry:

Tell us something about the beginning of TIME!

Andy:

At the beginning of time there was an explosion, a big bang ... that was end of '98, driven by the idea to try something new with music and uncompromisingly having fun. So we started to make our own music. At first with limited technical (and musical) skills but free from any self-imposed music style.

Adam:

At the beginning of time there was a small dark cellar studio - I still remember this blue and white flag on the wall. It was so small that we had to stand all the time. It was really nothing compared to :The Mole: - the studio with a view. B. was the only musician and Andy and me had the fastest learning curve for anything ever accomplished by mankind.

Therry:

Aehm... but nearly five years is a long time...

Andy:

Right, but the more equipment we stuffed into our newly-created studio the more the release date of our first album deferred. Too many new toys, too many new possibilities! Most of the time our "final" declared tracks sounded immatured considering how they could sound just working a few more hours with the new microphone, mixer, or simply a new software delay.

Adam:

A long time for a band but a short time for bandkind! Look at it: every track now has a tremendous value because we worked half a year on it. If you take 2500$ per person a day, every track is worth about a millon bucks! I can't believe that we sell the stuff for 15... only a fool doesn't buy such a deal! You must agree if you know anything at all.

Therry:

In all this time, did you ever have a serious problem?

Adam:

Yes, the fruit tea of B. When we produced TIME, we always got fruit tea - and everything went right, creativity, mood, tunes - no problemo. "Take some tea and me" - as a good friend of mine sometimes says. Now we have the problem that we get mineral water and B. behaves strange sometimes. I think he secretly drinks all the fruit tea himself...

Therry:

What are your plans for the future?

Adam:

We will produce another record. Something real new - a new kind of music that will change everything. We will remove anything not really essential. No melodies, no drums, no synthesizers, no guitars, no bass, no vocals, no pianos or any other instruments, no groupies, no videos and no fruit tea... ok, just kidding... It's secret, of course! So watch our for news on this site from time to time...

Therry:

Thanks a lot for the interview, folks! And lot of spare time in future for new projects!
